Designed by Scott | Edwards Architecture and constructed by Walsh Construction, The Mary Ann Apartments is named in honor of Mary Ann Spencer Watts, Beaverton’s first schoolteacher. The project was part of the Metro regional affordable housing bond and aims for Earth Advantage Platinum certification, emphasizing sustainability through features like Energy Recovery Ventilation, LED lighting, and energy-efficient appliances. The building’s design incorporates elements inspired by the neighborhood’s history, blending traditional materials with modern expressions to create a welcoming and efficient living environment for its residents.

A distinctive feature of The Mary Ann Apartments is its use of high-performance metal panels on the exterior.
